Every morning the plants were given a Miracle-Gro drink. That might be why some plants, such as this one, grew four cobs, of which only which two were able to develop in time to be pollinated. Next time, less fertilizer, and if more than two ears develop, remove the extras immediately.
On a windy afernoon several plants blew over. Eeach row was half-hitched to the fence.
